Who Am I?
I am Liz, wife to Joe, and mama to two sons, ages 5 and 1. I am *trying* to live in the moment while minimizing our impact on the earth, yet remaining a crafty and successful homeschooling parent. Not too much to ask, huh? Plus, I work part-time as a librarian and I *try* to find some quiet time amongst the activity that goes on around here.
Why Am I Blogging?
I hope that by sharing some of the ideas my family and I discover, we can give back for all of the great knowledge we have found on other blogs.
My philosophy?
Ever changing, of course. I enjoy sewing and I've recently discovered knitting. I love exploring new things and I must constantly be learning. We try to be conscious of the world around us and measure our impact by the items we purchase and the choices we make. I am a trained librarian and I am also Montessori-certified in ages 3-6 , but I love all sorts of educational philosophies (especially Waldorf) and we try to incorporate the best type of learning for our children.
Do you live in a small town?
Actually yes, we do! When I started this blog we lived in a suburb of Tampa. But, we have since moved to north Florida and live outside of Gainesville. My blog name is a bit of an homage to Bill Bryson and his humor.
